Cognitive behavioural therapy has been very thoroughly researched. It has been shown to be as effective as drugs in treating both depression and anxiety.

In particular, cognitive behavioural therapy has been shown to be better than drugs in preventing relapse after the end of treatment. I

Other symptoms for which cognitive behavioural therapy has been effective include problems with relationships, family, work, school, insomnia, and self-esteem. And it is usually the preferred treatment for shyness, headaches, panic attacks, phobias, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, loneliness, and procrastination. It can also be combined, if needed, with psychiatric medications.

No other type of psychotherapy has anything like this track record in outcome research. Click here for a tool on how to be in the now. The now is 99% of the time safe. Our fear is mostly rooted in the future.

In my book Picture Your Life we explore how the NOW can heal. It can bring us to a place of deep rooted contentment. This is the place we all want to be in. MANY of our thoughts are not 100% TRUE! We need to confront what the bible says is the father of lies. Why believe some thing that is not true.

For example you may feel unmotivated so you call yourself lazy. On that day you worked 8 hours and cooked supper for your family. Just because you feel unmotivated does not make it so. This does not sound like a lazy person to me it sounds like an awesome parent and a wonderful provider. Which thought makes you feel better that you are lazy or an awesome provider?

Let live the TRUTH!
